Here's a rough Paint-drawn floorplan, that isn't to scale, but hopefully relatively close to!
So, we'll be moving in on the 3rd and 4th. Grandma and hopefully my uncle, Dean, are coming down to help on the 3rd so with any luck, we'll get a fair bit done that day. Then the next day, Kathy and Keith (Mum's best friend and her husband) and Todd (a family friend) will be helping to move what's left of our belongings.
It shouldn't be too difficult getting things organised, as the layout of the house is identical to that of my Gran's. Mum will be taking bedroom 1 and I'll most likely be in bedroom 3. When Sera comes on October 23rd, she'll obviously have bedroom 2. I think the dining area will be decked out as a computer room until Sera and I move, but goodness knows where our rat cages will go!
I'm actually looking forward to the move, I just don't want to pack anything. All I've done so far are my CD's and DVD's, and I have to pack up everything that is in my bureaus and that is hanging off my clothes rack. Oh, and all the stuff on the floor, lol. Shouldn't really be too difficult, but I tend to get incredibly stressed out while packing my belongings. Mum says she will help me next week, and as I have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday, I think I may ask him for a prescription for something like Valium, lol.
We've already arranged for the power, gas and phone to be connected, and I just submitted the application to relocate the internet connection (it cost me $99!) so we're doing well. The internet won't be connected until at least the 10th, so no pointless blogs until after then!
Anyway, wish us luck in our move! Unless something drastic happens between now and moving day, I won't post again until the internet has been connected at the new house. But when that happens, I will most likely upload some photos of the house for all to see!
And I think that's a long enough blog for now.
