Movies

So, I've seen two new movies since my last post: The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian and Kung Fu Panda. Both were excellent!

I wasn't mad keen on the idea of seeing Prince Caspian at first, seeing as though I wasn't terribly impressed with The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (I thought it was rather childish), but I was pleasantly surprised!

Kung Fu Panda was enjoyable; quite witty in a way that both parents and kids could understand (often double entendres, mind you), and it wasn't too long.

I would recommend both for all ages.

Woo!

Yay! Sera's back from Western Australia, albeit temporarily. So we met up in town (downtown for you Americans) and spent the day shopping there. God, I was tired afterwards!

Then on Saturday night, a bunch of her friends, plus Abe and his best mate, Alex, all met up for drinks at a pub. It was pretty fun, except for the fact it was freezing bloody cold outside, and you can no longer smoke inside in Australia.

And today, she and I went shopping at Marion SC, one of the biggest malls in Adelaide. It was also fun! Again, I'm so tired!

Tomorrow, Sera, Toddi and I are going to see Prince Caspian (the second Narnia movie) at Marion too. Should be fun, not really my first choice of movie but it's not exactly the last one either! I shall update and let all know!

Another pointless post from the boredom of me!

A pointless post about chai tea

I had a craving for chai tea today, so while I was at the supermarket, I picked up a packet of Twinings Origins Vanilla Chai teabags. They're quite good! Instead of following the instructions on the packaging, I poured just-boiled water over the teabag and let it steep for about a minute, then added milk and 2 sugars. I then waited until it was cool enough to drink without burning my tongue, and voila! It was the perfect strength for me. I'm glad I got them =)

Introductions!

Well, I decided that I need a real blog, other than my LiveJournal, which is full of crap from over a year ago and before. So here it is. I doubt many people will read this blog, if any, but if someone does, please comment!

I suppose a short introduction is in order...

My name's Jordi, I'm 22 years old, live in Adelaide, Australia with my Mum and our 16 rats.

Two and a half years ago, I moved back from living in Anchorage, Alaska for two and a half years. It was the most incredible place to live, and I met some of the most wonderful people! I really miss living there, but I've found things that keep me here.

For instance, I have the most incredible boyfriend in the entire world, his name's Abe, he's 34 and he has a six year old daughter named Wynona, who lives with him full-time. He lives about two hours away from me (by bus, my only mode of transport) with his daughter (as I've already said), his parents (Jerry and Isabel) and younger brother (Dennis). I get along with all of them, which is good as I spend 4 days a week at their house. I've even been asked to move in there, but haven't decided yet as Abe and I have only been together for just under 8 months and I think it might be a little soon.

Another thing that keeps me here is my best friend, Sera. She is 23 (24 in August) and she lives in a little town named Manjimup in Western Australia at the moment, but I'm hoping she'll move back to Adelaide sometime soon! She is, however, visiting Adelaide for a few weeks and arrives tomorrow! I won't see her until Friday, but I'm predicting that we'll have a full day of shopping and catching up!

I'm obsessed with two things that I can think of off the top of my head: Harry Potter and survey/quizzes.

The obsession with Harry Potter started when I was 15, my Mum had just moved overseas (she left in 2001, I followed in 2003) and I was living with my Grandma and Granddad. Grandma had borrowed the four books that were out at the time off a student (she's a swimming instructor) and I got bored one day and decided to "see what all the hype was about". I was hooked. Since then, I've bought all seven of the books, the last three on release day, have about five Harry Potter-related reference books, and read fanfiction regularly.

I'm not entirely sure how the obsession with surveys and quizzes started, but anyone who has me on their MySpace will notice that I do surveys on a regular (possibly more often than that, if it's possible!) basis. I'm brutally honest in them, so if you really want to find something out about me, create a survey and make sure I see it!

Wow. I think that was more than a "short introduction" but too damn bad, this is my blog!

Well, that's definitely enough for now. I probably won't update too often as I'm quite slack about it, but hopefully I'll remember that I have this blog, haha.

Ciao for now!
